Bottom Doors
VOSTA LMG’s bottom doors are a box-shaped welded steel construction that is rigid; on the hopper side it is equipped with wear-protection plates. Each door is moved by its own double-acting hydraulic cylinder and is equipped with level indicators. In a closed position, the doors flush with the ship’s bottom.
Bottom Valves
The bottom valves are a steel structure, that are vertically mounted in the hopper area. Its main part is the valve disc, which is a cone-shaped steel part with a rubber seal mounted in the bottom of the hull. The bottom valve is operated by a double-acting hydraulic cylinder. The valve flushes with the hull structure.
