VOSTA LMG’s standard cardanic joints are available in a range from DN 600 up to DN 1400. Any other diameter is available on request. The units are made of a strong steel construction, which can be easily integrated into the side-suction pipe of all hopper dredgers. Cardanic joints consist of two male arm pieces, a cardanic ring and a rubber fender hose.
Cardanic Joints
The cardanic joint allows movements of 30° in horizontal and vertical direction. It consists of two male arm pieces, a cardanic ring, a rubber hose and a rubber fender. The pivots are designed as steel shafts with high-wear-resistant bushes and have sufficient strength to bear the full load of the side suction pipe.
